Dismal Creek is located in Giles County and offers some excellent fly fishing. The scenery is excellent and there is plenty of wildlife. Fly anglers target the stocked trout which takes place in February.

COMMENTS ON THE DISMAL CREEK

This is a beautiful area to fish, but there are many issues with this creek. The stream is barely even a trickle, and the water seems very stagnant. Every hole is clogged with leaves and the water is a murky reddish tint. There are no trout in the river, only what seems to be millions of small minnows of some kind that will relentlessly pester your fly the second it hits the water. This stream has issues that need to be addressed
